Talks with Reliance Communications Ltd., India’s second-largest mobile-phone operator, ended without an agreement because of “legal and regulatory issues,” and talks with Bharti Airtel Ltd. ended because agreement on management and ownership structures could be not reached. However aspiration of the company to expand its footprints in India is not yet over.
CEO Nhleko is still looking out for meaningful acquisitions in the current year. In an interview he said “Something may still come somewhere in Asia,”. He however declined to say whether the company was in discussions. “I can’t comment on that.”
